Pre-Performance Events

One of the most popular events of the SPAC season are family nights and special pre-performance events that combine fun and learning. Events are free for ticketholders to the evening's performance.

CDPHP Family Nights

Come to SPAC when the gates open at 6pm for tons of family fun on the lawn, including an Instrument Petting Zoo, the NEW Young Performers Circle (featuring drumming lessons, dance classes, and more), Workshops on the Lawn with New York City Ballet dancers and Philadelphia Orchestra musicians, interactive exhibits from local museums, magicians, balloon animals, photo booths, and FREE Stewart's ice cream!

American Girl Night

SPAC and American Girl Place proudly present our annual celebration for girls and their families. Girls bring their dolls and experience an evening of music, pink lemonade, sugar cookies, free photo booths, and special American Girl crafts. Plus, enter for a chance to win an American girl doll!

The Performance Project: Youth in Motion

The final main stage performance by 80 local children from SPAC's 2-week intensive summer dance program with National Dance Institute (NDI) and 30 young dancers from NDI's own Celebration Team. The Performance Project is presented in collaboration with the Capital District YMCA and the Saratoga Regional YMCA.

SPAC Story Time Concerts: The Fish Who Could Wish

Story Time Concerts are FREE. Space is limited.

SPAC's first series of one-hour, interactive concerts tailored specifically for ages 4-9 that introduces children to the string instruments while telling a popular children's story. "The Fish Who Could Wish" is a Project 440 program with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and is made possible through The Philadelphia Orchestra's summer residency at SPAC.
